Parousia, which refers to the Second Coming of Jesus, is a powerful alternative rock, pop and techno album by Myztery. It is a concept album spanning seventeen songs with various styles of music. The album features Cyndie Mason on vocals, keyboards and synthesizer, Pete Mason on vocals, lead and rhythm guitar, classical guitar, acoustic guitar, 12-string acoustic guitar, violin, drums, bass, keyboards, finger cymbals.
Guest artists are: Lori Pappajohn on harp. Tom Keenlyside on tenor sax and flute and Jennifer Moersch on cello. The entire album is based on the last book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation. During the show, Pete and Cyndie will share a brief introduction to each song to help the audience to understand the deeper meaning behind the music videos.
Parousia is very much influenced by Pink Floyd's albums, Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. Myztery is an alternative rock band with a spiritual twist that began in Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2005, started by Pete Mason. Parousia is the 5th studio album by Myztery.
